Leading Vaccine Rights Lawyer Jailed for 3rd Time in NC State Bar 'Witch Hunt' [URGENT CALL TO ACTION]

Alan Phillips, JD, one of the country’s leading vaccine rights attorneys who helps people legally avoid vaccines, has been jailed after refusing to breach attorney-client privilege.

Back in April, we published an article titled "Support Vaccine Rights Attorney Alan Phillips," when the threat of his being jailed was only a theoretical possibility. Unfortunately, the powers that be have had their way and a tireless advocate for health freedom and human rights finds himself in jail, in what are inhumane and often violent conditions. Phillips, whose life's work can be viewed on his website, has become a political prisoner in the increasingly difficult fight for health and medical freedom.

As reported by Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom

“After a hearing at Wake County Courthouse on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, Attorney Alan Phillips was was ordered back to jail for a third time (FOR THIRTY DAYS), and his license was suspended for at least until his next hearing on June 24, 2019. The judge can do this up to a cumulative year in jail. So this harassment of Attorney Phillips could continue for a long time.” Read more and see the entire timeline here.

Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Phillips is being accused of providing legal services in jurisdictions where he is not licensed to practice law. The lawsuit was filed by the North Carolina State Bar, which a number or organizations are calling a political witch hunt, reflective a national climate increasingly focused on stripping citizens of their rights to exercise legal exemptions from vaccinating.

Phillips has repeatedly refuted claims against that he broke that law. For instance, in an ABC 11 interview occurring on May 13th, he stated:

"I advise clients and attorneys around the country about federal law. I do not advise any clients outside of North Carolina about state law unless there's a local attorney with a proper license on the phone call or in the email exchange, whatever it may be."

The NC State Bar asked Phillips hand over client files related to the allegations, but in doing so, Phillips would be violating his ethical and legal obligation to preserve his client’s confidentiality. He elaborated further on the topic to ABC11:

"I can't give them my actual full client files because my clients have privacy rights. I'm being required to produce information and documents that I literally can't or legally can't produce, leaving me feeling like I'm being set up to be put in jail.“

Furthermore, Phillips believes the lawsuit against him has to do with a dispute between him and some North Caroliina State Bar attorneys:

"One possible interpretation, we could say, is that it's in retaliation for me having exposed publicly or provided information, publicly available to the public, showing that some attorneys there at the bar themselves have engaged in misconduct."

Phillips is facing inhumane, and potentially violent conditions in a North Carolina jail. His fate is now in the hands of those who care to show their support and put pressure on the actors who, knowingly or not, are forcing their unethical agendas. Please help bring attention to this travesty by following any and all of the call to actions that follow.
