To Save Your Teeth You May Need To Fire Your Periodontist

Notice bleeding gums or gingivitis? Lucky (sort of) because that is proof positive of systemic oxidative stress, the neon-sign of an overall decline in health. Gum condition is an early warning and constant reminder to ramp up self care, as well as an indicator of progress in your efforts to heal. You may overlook subtle changes in skin texture, vision, joints and occurrence of colds and bronchial infections, but a bloody toothbrush is hard to ignore.
Gum problems are marked by the presence of plaque, weak gingival tissues and gum pocketing... pockets where the nasty anaerobes that attack the flesh and bone supporting those precious teeth thrive. Standard periodontal treatment consists of cleaning teeth, cutting gums (a little or a lot) to clean deeply, planing roots and removing bacteria, and possibly administering courses of antibiotics. As gum infections proceed into painful crippling abscesses, more powerful antibiotics are needed, followed by deep surgery or tooth removal. This barbaric specialty promises continual torture sessions; there will be "gnashing of teeth!"
Foundations of a New Medicine We Can Not Afford to Ignore

Life at its core is a phenomenon that requires energy in the form of electrons to operate and to keep its structures intact. Living cells are internal combustion engines that must have the right fuel and lots of oxygen to produce energy. Visualize life's molecules snatching/donating electrons, electrons powering cells, electrons traveling through nerves and across fascia.
When electron energy is abundant, oxygen is abundant, immunity is strong and there is health, healing and celebration. But when sugars, electrolyte deficiencies, metals, acidity or damaged fats resist oxygen, the result is cellular suffocation, engine failure and energy shortages... disease.
Does the common use of the word "disease" bypass critical reasoning to effectively mislead scientific thought? Modern medicine describes hundreds of individual "diseases." Each "disease" is generally named for a group of symptoms and the area of the body affected. Many are suffixed by -itis, meaning inflammation of... like tonsill-itis or arthr-itis. And interestingly, recent studies are finding inflammation involved in virtually all of them. Does this terminology serve to pigeonhole distinct "diseases" and distract us from seeing the big picture of inflammation as the disease? Have we been looking at secondary pathologies and opportunistic microbes, and treating them at symptom-level... instead of addressing a common root cause? Is there some imaginary partition that separates human health from chemistry, physics and cell biology?
Few things strike fear into the hearts of men like the invisible terror of nuclear radiation. While the mention of a mushroom cloud sealed the sales pitch to invade Iraq a decade ago, today the subject of radiations whether from electromagnetic fields like cell phones, medical equipment, depleted uranium weaponry or Fukushima ( the elephant in the room ) has oddly been removed from mainstream conversation. One would think public health bulletins and information covering preventive measures would appear? The silence is deafening.
Various cancers are being associated with "safe" medical imaging devices. Shocking reports of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, suicides and cancers are common among returning Iraq War veterans, the selfsame symptoms one would expect from radiation poisoning... currently being "treated" with antidepressants and psychotherapy. Independent sources reveal high levels of radioactive particles from failed Japanese reactors impacting the west coast of The United States. There seems to be a growing awareness of these threats... and a subdued panic, but little evidence of personal protection know-how. When people feel helpless they get scared. Don't get scared... get informed and take steps to minimize the damage to your cells.... obviously no one else will.
Ever since humans discovered fire, our activities have been releasing a "dog's breakfast" of unnatural chemistry. The list has grown to well over 75,000 free elements, compounds and pharmaceuticals. Many of these are acidic, electron-hungry oxidants and free radical generators.
Conventional medicine seems to dismiss industrial pollutants, food additives, personal care products, household cleaners, building materials and pharmaceutical residues... unless lethal concentrations are involved. The fact is, many are cumulative, so even at tiny parts per billion or million concentrations, poisonous substances considered "safe" by the EPA collect in fat, brain and bone, even crossing the placental barrier into rapidly differentiating embryonic tissues.
“The Healer's Grail” and “Healer's Toolbox” outlined the electrochemical foundations of biology and a few of the simple substances used to maintain a balance favoring electron and oxygen abundance (a handy way to define health). There is little need to track down discreet biochemical mechanisms when protons and electrons and simple molecules like H2O, bicarbonate and magnesium determine the energetic profile of the “Inner Ocean.” These set the stage of pH and voltage, the key measures of life energy that govern biochemistry and offer a reflection of molecular inventories. This approach triggers the sea-change that allows normal cell function and healing when requisite voltages are reached. It's basic science.
Elementary oxidation-reduction chemistry was never applied to nutrition and healing or commonly connected to pH. Acid balance diets became popular in recent years, but didn't incorporate the idea of electron abundance. Acidity means few available “anti-oxidant” electrons and an unfriendly medium for oxygen delivery since oxygen joins acidic protons and becomes water. Acidity is also marked by low levels of K and Mg, thicker blood and mucus, sluggish circulation and agglutination of red blood cells----the precise conditions that precipitate disease.
In "The Healer's Grail" I outlined our predicament as Earth-dwelling biological entities. We operate on Solar ENERGY in the form of ELECTRONS and must consume Sun-charged phyto-nutrients and metabolize carbon bonds with the help of OXYGEN.
Opposing life today are mismanaged soils and electrolyte mineral deficiencies, oxidized/damaged fats, processed electron-stripped foods and all manner of toxic metals and organic poisons that lead to acidity, damaging free radical formation and electron shortages...ALL of which prevent oxygen delivery to mitochondrial motors and the generation of more electrons. When lacking charge, our cell structures become prone to oxidation, so membranes, enzymes, mitochondria and DNA all come under attack, OXIDATIVE STRESS! A "mechanical" approach to healing can address this energy shortage and electron imbalance using a toolbox full of common supplements.
WE have all been alive since the first spark in the beginning, carrying the flame of life through the epochs and are of the primordial mother cell, all of us. The oneness of all living is exceeded only by the fact we are all (one) matter, born of the original energy that blasted the worlds into existence. You are me, the rock, the ocean and the galaxy. I'd say EVERYTHING is pretty closely related.
