However I got tired of weak expensive, organic deodorants, stinging salt sticks and started experimenting on my own. Here's my favorite recipe. This makes enough for a couple of months or more and costs just $0.87 cents to make. And it works wonderfully! (I've sworn my co-workers to inform me if otherwise.). It's a cream so I apply it with a wooden craft (popsickle) stick. But it's so mild smelling/feeling I don't mind it getting on my hands. I've also used it within an hour of shaving and it dosen't sting. (It might though if you applied it right away.)
Homemade Deordorant
2 Tblsp coconut oil
2 tsp baking soda (Use less if you have super sensitive skin)
2 Tblsp arrowroot powder (found in the bulk aisle of my co-op)
5 drops Oil of Oregano, 3 drops Lavender oil (though Lemongrass sounds good too.)

That said, I've seen many a case of Heart arrhythmias 'fixed' almost overnight when someone started taking a good quality magnesium supplement. Make sure to combine it with a food source of potassium (veggies, most fruits, dairy) for the best absorption.

Most of the foods on this list are also high in oxlates. Oxalates have been indicated as a possible cause or contributing factor in firbromyalgia. (A few of them are not on my oxalate food list so I didn't say all.)
RE: Dr. Max Gerson's daughter Charlotte Gerson saying, "That sodium is never good, never in any form!" If I'm not mistaken doesn't the Gearson approach use the Dr. Johanna Budwig's flaxseed oil/cottage cheese in their regimen? You can't make cottage cheese without salt. Weston Price also talks about the importance of good salt.
A single round of antibiotics can destroy so much that it can take years to recover,. In fact there's one particular strain that's very hard to come by, but it can actually break down 94% of oxalates (VSL#3).
Other factors (gluten etc) can also jepordize the intestinal lining. But yes good anerobic, lacto fermented fruits and veggies are probably your best defense.
But gradually and slowly lowering oxalates in the diet is paramount. Once the intestonal tissue starts to heal fungal issues generally resolve (with probiotics).
Yes probiotic foods (anerobic, lacto-fermented) are a cornerstone of the diet.
